Sabine Adamson
Antiques & Interiors In Carmel-by-the-Sea

J’adore Su Vecino Court

with its art galleries, huge pots of flowers, Jack London’s Pub

and Sabine Adamson Antiques Shop.

Bill and I have gone into Sabines to browse many times.

Today, this bull-dog presides over the courtyard.

I enter the shop and Sabine is talking with a customer. She remembers that I have been in before and gives me permission to take some photos in her shop.

A collection of French antiques is available at this shop.

You can find one-of-a-kind French Provincial antique chairs, farm tables

and armories

There is a charming choice of French glassware,  linens and home accessories.

Sabine travels to Southwest France to find  baskets,

antique lighting and textiles

including 19th century quilts from Provence.

She arranges her shop in delightful vignettes so that the pieces tell a little story. This area with the desk, books and writing accessories is particularly charming.

I am quite taken with the way she uses chairs along with fabric and a book or painting.

When her client leaves, we discuss the fine art of blogging. She has no time for this ,but enjoys the facts that others have blogged about her . Check her website to see what they have to say and what they have photographed.

Her husband co-owns the shop and is quite active in the Carmel Parks and Recreation Board. They own this darling, bright red Citroen which Bill and I see in the Carmel Concours each year.

It catches the eye of every photographer.

The next time you are in Carmel, treat yourself to a visit at her shop.
