Who can resist entering a secret garden? Certainly not “moi”. But I hardly expected to see one boldly announcing its name.
Can it still be a secret? Nevertheless, I love the Secret Garden walkway and courtyard next to The Pilgrim’s Way Bookstore. They are both owned and operated by Paul Fridlund and Cynthia Fernandes. They have created a lovely spot in the Secret Garden. I walk down the passageway admiring the pots already planted by a local designer.
She uses succulents and has a great eye for balance ,
color
and texture.
Ahead, I hear wind chimes and gurgling fountains.
I read many great messages along the way
and admire the garden statuary.
The center of the courtyard is a geodesic dome which shelters books, cards, music and jewelry.
When you are in Carmel next, drop in and
“Unstiffen your supple body.
Unchatter your quiet mind.
and
Unfreeze your fiery heart.”
