It is late on a Sunday afternoon and I am heading home up 10th St. Just before I turn on Lincoln , I see an OPEN HOUSE sign in front of this cute little cottage.
I love the rustic fence covered in red Trumpet Vine.
The living room has high beamed ceilings, a fireplace and opens to the deck .
When I mention that my husband would love this photo, the realtor shows me that it opens to show a flat-screen TV. Very clever.
The floor plan flows nicely from living to dining room to kitchen. The dining room also has a fireplace and opens to the deck.
The kitchen looks brand new. Although built in 1996, the owners have been meticulous in keeping the house updated. I love the skylight in the kitchen and the wonderful hood over the stove.
I make my way back through the living room and stand on the landing to photograph the half-bath.
Then I make my way up to the Master Bedroom. Wow! Still another fireplace , vaulted ceilings and 2 window seats.
The master bath is well laid out. I like the window in the shower that lets in light but provides privacy.
Ok, now down to the lower level. Another couple has come in. They are very excited about the house and are looking at me anxiously. Will I steal their house?
The lower level has a bath and two bedrooms Each bedroom has french doors that open to a patio.
I decide to go out the open door and around the house.
Under the deck I find an outdoor shower. It is very private down here . What a fun way to get the sand off your feet before you go inside.
Then up on the deck with its privacy fence covered in trumpet vine.
Closing time. The realtor is taking down the sign. I take one last look
and pick up a floor plan for us.
The asking price is under $1,500,00. When I check on the cottage today, I find the listing is pending. I hope the sale goes through.
