Carmel Beach welcomes dogs off leash.
Owners are constantly throwing balls and Frisbees and monitoring their happily socializing dogs.
Big, little and in between,all breeds meet and greet each other with happy abandon.
One afternoon we watched a couple unload 6 Chihuahuas from their little Mini Cooper. It was like watching clowns emerge from a car at a Shrine’s circus.
Yet another day, the dachshund club gathered for their monthly meeting. They costume their dogs, walk on the beach and then have a “Weiner” roast around a beach bonfire.
In Carmel ,no words are sweeter to a dog’s ears than “do you want to go to the beach?’.
I can just picture the 6 chihuahas!
So nice that there is a place like that. So which beach to sunbathers go to?
